Lower Secondary Curriculum

At Baseerah International School, our Lower Secondary programme (Years 7–9) provides students with the right balance of academic challenge, personal growth, and moral guidance. This stage is a bridge between Primary School and Senior Secondary, and we make sure students gain the confidence and skills they need to succeed in the years ahead.

The curriculum is designed to give students a broad and balanced education, covering subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, ICT, and Creative Arts. Lessons are taught in ways that encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving rather than rote memorization.

We understand that this is a key developmental stage, so our teachers pay attention not only to academics but also to each child’s emotional and social growth. Through group projects, discussions, and extracurricular activities, students learn responsibility, leadership, and respect for others.

Islamic studies and values are integrated into everyday learning, helping students strengthen their faith, character, and identity while navigating the changes of early adolescence.

By the end of Lower Secondary, students are well-prepared to choose their future academic pathways, whether national or international curricula, and are equipped with the study habits, discipline, and values that will serve them throughout life.
